Last Wednesday I ventured out to Cambridge to see John Joseph’s spoken word performance.  Holy fucking hell.  It absolutely ruled.  I have read most of the book and heard all of the spoken word CD, but nothing compares to hearing the man tell the stories himself.  I mean it.  I knew the stories and I knew how they ended and I was still really shocked just because of the way he told them.  He is really intense in his story telling but really light hearted with his stage banter.  His whole personality and the way he interacts with people is really cool.  He is really friendly and approachable.  He seems siked to talk to any and everyone, but you know that he is completely capable of snapping your neck and not missing a minute of sleep over it later that night.  The difference between him and other dudes like him is that when you’re talking to him you don’t feel like he is a loose cannon.  You’re not walking on eggshells or trying to say the right things.  Anyway, it was really cool and I suggest that you check it out if you ever have a chance.
