So, this band from Connecticut is completely turning my world upside down right now.  Their called Make Do And Mend and they sound like a mix between Hot Water Music, Farside and new Crime In Stereo.  Weird, right?  I know.  But it’s really well done!  One of the bands I play in, The Stereo State, played a basement show with them in Connecticut a few months ago and I was floored.  I’ve seen em’ a few times now and each time they get better and better.  They are not reinventing the wheel and they are not playing any mind blowing solos.  What they are doing is writing honest music that they are clearly passionate about and to me, that is what it’s all about.
Their latest effort, Bodies Of Water, was released just before Christmas and somehow made it’s way on to the top of my list for 2008.  That is saying a lot.  There were tons of great releases in 2008 and this one is no exception.  Check it out.  The picture is a link to their website where you can download Bodies Of Water for free.  You’ll be singing along before the second chorus kicks in.
